Job summary

Shared Health in Winnipeg is seeking a Nutrition and Food Services assistant to participate in preparing, assembling and distributing patient meals following safe food handling practices.

You will assemble trays to defined portions, stock areas, clean and sanitize equipment, label and deliver carts, and contribute to quality assurance programs.

Reading and following instructions in English, you must have a Food Handler's certificate and Grade 10, with preference for Indigenous language knowledge.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak English effectively and follow instructions.
• Preference for Indigenous language knowledge and understanding of Indigenous customs/values.
• Previous experience in food service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble patient meals following safe food handling practices.
• Assemble meal trays to defined portions and follow tray tickets.
• Stock and replenish food and supplies in designated areas.
• Clean and sanitize equipment, small wares and service areas.
• Label and deliver carts to designated areas and participate in QA programs.
