Job summary

Qualifications

• Registered nursing degree or equivalent with RN licence in Ontario.
• Experience leading clinical teams in pediatrics, NICU or maternal/fetal medicine settings is preferred.
• Demonstrates knowledge of RHPA legislation and patient safety policies.
• Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities applied to policy and practice.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; respectful, confidential environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and direct NICU, pediatrics, genetics, urgent care and related clinics.

Job Description

Reporting to the Program Director, the Patient Care Manager, NICU, Pediatrics & Woman and Child Program Outpatient Clinics is a member of the management team within the program/clinical area and is responsible for the coordination and direction of the Pediatrics, Neonatal intensive Care Unit, Pediatric Urgent Care Clinic, Genetics, and Maternal Fetal Medicine areas as well as the human and fiscal resources associated with each. The Patient Care Manager collaborates with the Program Director, Medical Director, Educator and other allied health members to ensure that high quality, effective and efficient services and care is provided. The Patient Care Manager is accountable for planning, implementing, and integrating plans that are in alignment with the organizations vision and strategic directions and the Woman and Child Program.

What must you have?

• Completion of Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or other regulated health professional field.
• Nurse Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario or another regulated Health Professional College.

Preferably, Your Profile Also Includes

• Masters Degree in Nursing or related field.
• Knowledge and experience in the NICU or Pediatrics area.
• Certified Health Executive (CHE) with The Canadian College of Health Leaders.
• You may be required to work at any site of Mackenzie Health.
