Job summary

Fraser Health in White Rock, BC, is seeking a Relief Part Time Patient Care Coordinator for the Medicine Unit at Peace Arch Hospital. The position runs until approx. May 2028 or until the incumbent returns.

Reporting to the unit/manager, this role provides clinical supervision, supports patient flow and discharge planning, and promotes interprofessional collaboration to maintain high standards of care. RN with BC registration required, plus supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Current practicing registration as an RN with BCCNM.
• Three years of recent clinical experience in the designated area.
• One year of supervisory experience.
• Post-graduate coursework or certification related to the area.

Responsibilities

• Applies admissions/intake criteria and coordinates daily patient flow.
• supervises nursing and nursing support staff on a day-to-day basis.
• Promotes interprofessional collaboration and team building.
• Leads care conferences and rounds for optimal patient care.
• Provides input into staff education and orientation programs.
• Acts as a point of contact for patients and families.
