Responsibilities

  • Post all incoming payments to patient accounts daily, ensuring accuracy.
  • Input and retrieve data from computer systems; reconcile accounts daily.
  • Apply payments and contractual adjustments accurately.
  • Follow up on authorizations, referrals, and manage mail related to the hospital.
  • Analyze payments from insurance companies to ensure maximum reimbursement.
  • Work proactively with payers and internal teams to resolve payment issues.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations in payment practices.
  • Manage underpayments and denials for further revenue collection.

Qualifications

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Customer service experience required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in accounts payable, receivable, or cashier roles preferred.
  • Knowledge of billing requirements, insurance, coding, and medical terminology preferred.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Understanding of medical coding and third-party procedures.
  • 6 months to 1 year of billing experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of insurance terminology essential.

Prime Healthcare offers competitive pay and benefits, including a total rewards package with paid time off, 401K, health coverage, tuition reimbursement, and more. The estimated compensation range is $21.00 to $24.00 per hour, with the final offer based on experience and qualifications.
