We are currently looking for a PASTRY COOK to join our dynamic team at COAST RESTAURANT. CATCH. COOK. EAT. A true west coast dining experience.

Duties & Responsibilites

  • Responsible for creating and preparing confectionery and other pastry-based items in accordance with existing menu
  • Inspect the quality of ingredients and accurately measure them for specific recipes
  • Execute pastry orders as per spec and garnishing requirements
  • Ensure compliance with food handling safety regulation, health and safety workplace policies and procedures

Skills And Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of pastry cook, baker, or similar
  • Completion of related pastry culinary program, is an asset
  • Food Safe certification, or wiling to train
  • Energetic with a passion for everything “sweet” and a positive outlook
  • Creative ability in design and decorating
  • Workable knowledge of kitchen equipment
  • Solid understanding of standard measurements and portions
  • Must be able to follow oral and written instructions
  • Excellent team player and camaraderie with others
  • Must have physical stamina to lift moderate amounts of weight
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Organizational Skills and team player
