Job summary

Toromont Cat is seeking a Parts Warehouse Person in Guelph to coordinate daily warehouse operations and support internal and external customers. The role involves shipping/receiving, stock/parts movement, and ensuring accurate inventory while delivering superior service.

You will operate a lift truck, assemble hoses, and assist with packaging of potentially dangerous goods, with a focus on safety and efficiency in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum secondary education.
• Ability to process shop and customer orders, stock receipts and transfers.
• Willingness to participate in on-call weekend service.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily parts operations including processing orders, stock receipt and transfers.
• Pick and deliver parts to internal and external customers and handle freight.
• Maintain inventory and ensure safety and professional service.
• Operate lift truck safely and assist with warehouse tasks as needed.
• Provide on-call weekend service on a rotating basis.

Toromont Cat is looking for a Parts Warehouse Person to join our team in Guelph! The Parts Warehouse Person plays a key role in coordinating and executing day to day operations in the warehouse to ensure the entire team is providing superior service to the internal and external customers. This job provides superior service to support internal and external customers by maintaining daily yard inventory operations, including the shipping and receiving of equipment.

In a typical day, YOU will:

• Demonstrate safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviours at all times in support of Toromont's Health and Safety Policy, Programs and initiatives
• Perform all daily functions of the Parts Operations including parts warehouse duties as necessary, including processing shop and customer orders, stock order receipt and processing, picking and delivery of parts to internal and external customers, processing incoming and outgoing freight and stock transfers
• Ensure customers' needs are met in an efficient, knowledgeable and professional manner
• Help maintain the parts physical and electronic inventory
• Provide on-call service on weekends for emergency parts orders on a rotating basis
• Safely operate lift truck
• Assemble hoses
• Packaging and shipping of dangerous goods
• Assist with the organization and control of inventory
