Job summary

SMS Equipment in Winnipeg, MB is seeking a Parts Technician to join our team. You will help customers by providing accurate parts and pricing and sourcing alternative parts when OEM parts are not available, while keeping safety and efficiency at the forefront.

Responsibilities include maintaining inventories, processing orders and CORE returns, completing invoicing and data entry for purchase and work orders, and supporting warehouse operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar parts/warehouse role.
• Detail-oriented with strong communication and time management.
• Commitment to safety and customer service.
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Office and inventory systems.
• Valid Class 5 driver's license.

• Other duties as required.

Base Wage: $29.14 - $41.63 per hour. Actual wage will be determined based upon certification verification. Additional premiums may apply.
Location: Winnipeg, MB
Schedule: Monday - Friday

What You’ll Do

• Providing customer with accurate parts and pricing information and sourcing alternative parts options when OEM parts are not available for order.
• Maintaining parts inventories including identifying and cataloguing parts and assemblies, ordering, receiving, inspecting, sorting, stock handling, and up selling
• Completing and entering all required documentation including preparing invoicing, following and tracking orders, shipping and receiving information for warehouse, data entry of purchase and work orders, and maintaining price lists and catalogues
• Processing CORE returns as required and assisting with inventory counts and inspections
  Other duties as required

What You Bring

You are a detail-oriented Parts professional with a minimum of 1 years of experience working in a similar environment, sound judgement and a commitment to responsive customer service. Other requirements include:

• Considers safety a priority
• Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
• Proven ability to adhere to and maintain workplace health and safety initiatives
• Intermediate level of knowledge of MS Office Suite and computerized inventory systems is required
• Highly motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Valid Class 5 drivers licence

Nice to Haves

• A valid Journeyperson Parts Technician ticket or registered Parts Technician Apprenticeship status is considered a great asset
