Job summary

Wajax Corporation in Saskatoon is seeking a Parts & Service Clerk to deliver elevated customer service while supporting service and parts sales across front counter, order desk, and warehouse.

You will greet customers, quote prices, process purchases, assist with shipping, and ensure accuracy of parts to work orders. The role requires on-call rotation and occasional evenings/weekends.

Qualifications

  • Experience in heavy-duty parts is an asset.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient with computers and basic software.
  • Ability to work effectively with others.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers, handle inquiries, provide price quotes, and sell parts.
  • Prepare and process documentation for purchases, returns, warranty, and other work.
  • Respond to customers in person, by phone, or electronically with strong service and salesmanship.
  • Assist warehouse with shipping to local and out-of-town customers.
  • Support shop parts needs by billing parts to work orders and verifying accuracy.
  • Pick stock for customers; receive and input stock in electronic systems.
  • Produce accurate, timely documentation of transactions within the parts team.
  • Handle emergency orders.
  • Process invoices and purchase orders.
  • Be willing to be on call rotation.
  • Evening and weekend work as required.

Job description

As a key member of the Wajax team the Parts & Service Clerk is responsible for providing an elevated level of customer service in support of the business of service and parts sales to the market, ensuring efforts are made to support repeat business by supporting front counter/order desk, warehouse and back counter and support the Service Department with administration duties.

The Role
  • Builds and maintains strong customer relations including greeting customers, handling inquiries, providing price quotes, and selling parts.
  • Prepares and processes necessary documentation for purchases, returns, warranty coverage and other work as required.
  • Responds to customers in person, via telephone, or electronically in a timely and courteous manner; delivers strong service and salesmanship on the phone order desk and front counter parts sales.
  • Covers and/or assists warehouse person in shipping product to both local and out-of-town customers utilizing appropriate shipping methods.
  • Supports the parts needs of the shop to meet work orders by looking up and billing parts to work orders; reviews work orders for accuracy of parts and modifies as needed.
  • Picks stock for customers as required; receives and inputs stock using electronic systems.
  • Produces accurate, timely and efficient documentation of all transactions within the parts team.

The Candidate
  • Previous Heavy Duty parts experience or Journey Certified an asset.
  • Functional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer knowledge
  • Proven ability to work effectively with others.
  • A valid Driver’s License.
