Job description

Full-Time, Permanent Medicine Hat, Alberta $60,000 – $85,000 per year

Run the parts department at one of southeast Alberta's fastest-growing Kia stores.

About us:

We have been part of the Straightline family since 2019 and have grown into one of the most active dealerships in Medicine Hat and one of Alberta's largest pre‑owned vehicle operations. We operate out of a modern, purpose‑built facility on Paul Stober Drive SE, and we were Canada's first small‑city Kia EV dealership — which means our parts and service departments are working on the newest technology Kia builds, not just the back catalogue.

The way we sell is the way we operate internally: straight up, transparent, and without games. We leave the window stickers on. We show our pricing. We expect the same honesty from our managers, and we give them the room to run their departments accordingly. Straightline Kia Medicine Hat is an AMVIC‑licensed business.

The Parts Manager is the leader of the Parts Team and their primary objective is to motivate, encourage, and inspire their team and parts department. The Parts Manager is responsible for deeply understanding costumer needs and should be able to provide exceptional customer service and satisfaction to all customers, both internal and external.

Job Duties:

  • Maintain proper parts inventory levels.
  • Prepare an annual operating budget, goals, and objectives for the Parts Department and monitor the department's performance.

  • Create and maintain a positive relationship with customers and focus on problem resolution and customer satisfaction.
  • Work directly with warranty clerks to administer warranty claims, as well as understand and apply warranty guidelines.
  • Extensive knowledge of parts pricing procedures.
  • Conduct monthly meetings with department employees to discuss activities and problems of mutual interest.
  • Report performance goals and achievements regularly.
  • Responsible for inspecting each part received for accuracy, proper pricing, and damage.
  • Perform assigned duties safely and responsibly that do not expose yourself or other employees to unnecessary risk of injury.
  • Review the previous month’s sales/profit to determine where improvements can be made.
