Job summary

Rush Truck Centres of Canada is seeking a Parts Counterperson for our Ottawa East location, a full-time day-shift role from Monday to Friday. You will sell commercial vehicle parts over the counter or by phone and set up daily orders.

Responsibilities include OHSA compliance, order setup, records maintenance, and processing credits. Training and product updates are part of the role, with potential for advancement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• Six months’ experience in over-the-counter sales, preferably in a dealership or service setting.
• Experience with SAP is an asset.

• Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up.
• Keep records of repair orders, invoices, estimates, and special order parts.
• Issue credit for parts returned with original invoice number for verification.

• Participate in maintaining a lost sales tracking program.

The Parts Counterperson sells commercial vehicle and equipment parts to customers over the counter or by phone. This is a full‑time position in our Ottawa East location. Will be working Monday to Friday day shift.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance of all Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) regulations, as well as the Company’s Health and Safety Policy.
• Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up.
• Keep orderly records of all repair orders, invoices, insurance estimates, and special order parts.
• Issue credit for parts returned, ensuring that the original invoice, or its number, is available so that purchase and pricing can be verified.
• Participate in all training programs that are made available.
• Keep current on new products and product updates.
• Participate in maintaining a lost sales tracking program.

Basic Qualifications

• High school diploma
• Six months’ experience in over-the-counter sales, preferably in a dealership or service setting environment
• Experience with SAP is an asset
• Criminal Record Check
• Driver's Abstract
