Job summary

A.L.P.A. Equipment Ltd. is seeking a Parts Clerk to maintain inventory, stock and issue parts and supplies to internal and external customers at our Nova Scotia location.

Reporting to the After Sales Manager, you will enter receipts and distributions in the computer system, perform periodic counts, and coordinate transfers between branches. The role requires a high school diploma, knowledge of heavy equipment parts, and strong communication skills, with availability for 40+ hours per week

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of parts and heavy equipment.
• Excellent interpersonal relationship skills.
• Good computer and systems knowledge.
• Ability to work in an environment with changing priorities and to cover 40+ hours per week including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Be a 1st line support for parts sales; on the phone or at the parts counter.
• Enter receipt and distribution of parts in the computer system.
• Conduct periodic physical inventory to assure proper availability of required stock; replenish stock as shipments arrive.
• Issue replacement parts to customers.
• Issue replacement parts to mechanics (internally).
• Assemble and fill orders as requested.
• Check parts catalogue for proper part identification.
• Fill out all vendor, customer and supplier documentation.
• Coordinate transfer of parts to other branches.

REQUIREMENTS
