Job summary

Saskatoon Motor Products is seeking a Parts Advisor for the Saskatoon area. You will source and pick parts for customers and technicians, receive inventory, and assist in processing repair orders and related admin tasks.

Candidates should have experience in collision repair or a parts department, and a related post-secondary program is a plus. Strong organization and integrity are essential to succeed in this fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with collision repair or a Parts Department (front or back).
  • Completion of a related post-secondary program is an asset.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills are required.
  • Professionalism and high integrity expected; trusted by others and reliable.

Responsibilities

  • Research and source parts for customers or technicians.
  • Receive parts both physically and in our system and select parts for technicians.
  • Manage and close files; MPI rules experience is advantageous.
  • Process repair orders, assist with sublet services, and handle other admin tasks.
  • Pickup parts for customers or technicians as required.
  • Maintain a clean work area and displays; follow safety policies.

What drives your day-to-day?
  • Research and source parts for customers or technicians
  • Receiving parts both physically and within our system and selecting parts for technicians.
  • Managing and closing files—experience with MPI rules is highly advantageous.
  • Processing repair orders, assisting with sublet services, and handling other administrative tasks.
  • Pick-up parts for customers or technicians as required
  • Keep work area and displays clean
  • Must follow all company safety policies and procedures
  • Other duties as required
What are the must-haves…
  • Some familiarity and/or experience with working in collision repair and/or Parts Department (front or back)
  • Completion of a related post-secondary program and or training courses is considered an asset
  • A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • A person of professionalism and high integrity who is trusted by others and consistently honors their commitments
  • Detail oriented, self-motivated and resourceful
  • High-level skills in Word, Excel and MS Office etc.
  • Ability to meet physical demands such as heavy lifting, standing for long periods of time
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
