Job summary

Saskatoon Motor Products is seeking a Parts Advisor (Front Counter) in Saskatoon, SK. This full-time position offers a competitive salary and benefits, with immediate hire and MPI knowledge as a plus.

The role includes parts sourcing, order processing, and customer service in a fast-paced dealership environment. Ideal candidates will have related post-secondary training, strong negotiation and organizational skills, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in collision repair or parts department is an asset.
• Completion of a related post-secondary program is considered an asset.
• Strong organizational and time management skills are required.
• Detail oriented with high integrity and professionalism.
• Ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts effectively.
• Proficient in Word, Excel and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Research and source parts for customers or technicians.
• Receive parts physically and in the system; select parts for technicians.
• Manage and close files; familiarity with MPI rules is advantageous.
• Process repair orders and assist with sublet services.
• Handle customer/technician part pick-ups and maintain displays.
• Follow all safety policies; perform additional duties as needed.

What drives your day-to-day?

• Research and source parts for customers or technicians
• Receiving parts both physically and within our system and selecting parts for technicians.
• Managing and closing files - experience with MPI rules is highly advantageous.
• Processing repair orders, assisting with sublet services, and handling other administrative tasks.
• Pick-up parts for customers or technicians as required
• Keep work area and displays clean
• Must follow all company safety policies and procedures
• Other duties as required

What are the must-haves...

• Some familiarity and/or experience with working in collision repair and/or Parts Department (front or back)
• Completion of a related post-secondary program and or training courses is considered an asset
• A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including negotiation and conflict resolution skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• A person of professionalism and high integrity who is trusted by others and consistently honors their commitments
• Detail oriented, self-motivated and resourceful
• High-level skills in Word, Excel and MS Office etc.
• Ability to meet physical demands such as heavy lifting, standing for long periods of time
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
