Job summary

Horst Systems is hiring a Parts Advisor for our Elmira, Ontario operations. This on-site role reports to the Warehouse Manager and supports inventory, parts procurement, and customer service across multiple channels.

You will handle cycle counts, supplier relationships, pricing, and ensure parts availability for service work, while maintaining accuracy and timeliness in a busy environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Parts, inventory, customer service, service department, or equipment-related experience.
• 2+ years of identifying parts and applications/parts ordering and inventory control.
• 2+ years of parts pricing/invoicing; work order billing and use of inventory/business systems with ability to interpret manufacturer and supplier information.
• Experience within Auto or Agriculture Industries is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory accuracy, conduct regular audits and cycle counts, and support physical inventory processes.
• Source and sell parts and accessories to retail, wholesale, internal, in-person, phone, and electronic customers; identify the correct parts and solutions.
• Ensure required parts are ordered daily based on Supervisor and Technician requests and provide accurate availability, pricing, application, and warranty information.
• Complete orders for Service Technicians, support technician and customer needs, and ensure required parts are available for service work.
• Establish and maintain relationships with approved suppliers regarding ordering, availability, and pricing.
• Ensure parts are properly billed to work orders, and that unrequired parts and cores are returned accurately and promptly.
• Coordinate deliveries or travel to pick up required parts or supplies for urgent needs; assist with receiving incoming parts and materials, verifying quantities and condition, and complete warehouse duties as required to support operations.

What We’re Looking For:

We’re seeking a Parts Advisor who combines strong technical expertise with Customer Service. You likely have:

• 2+ years of Parts, inventory, customer service, service department, or equipment-related experience
• 2+ years of identifying parts and applications/parts ordering and inventory control
• 2+ years of parts pricing/invoicing; work order billing and use of inventory/business systems with ability to interpret manufacturer and supplier information.
• Experience within Auto or Agriculture Industries is considered an asset.
