Key Responsibilities
- Build and manage relationships with key suppliers to the Canadian government, positioning Delta Defense as their primary source for ballistic helmets and NIJ-certified plates
- NavigateCanadian defense procurement policiesand align product offerings (e.g.,MICH helmets,tactical vests) with tender requirements
- Understand suppliers’ procurement needs, including compliance with DND, RCMP, and Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) standards
- Collaborate with factories to oversee production ofballistic helmets andNIJ Level III/IV plates, ensuring adherence to MOQs, timelines, and quality standards
- Analyze trends among government suppliers and align Delta Defense’s offerings with their requirements
- Mitigate supply chain risks for critical materials and optimize logistics forEx-Work Vancouvershipments
- Cultivate partnerships with defense stakeholders, including military procurement officers, law enforcement agencies, and distributors
- Represent Delta Defense at industry events (e.g., CANSEC, ADM) to showcase products liketactical vestsandmulti-curved plates
- Ensure all products meet standards required by government suppliers (e.g., STANAG 2920, MIL-STD-662F) and maintain certifications (e.g., NIJ 0101.06)
Qualifications (Required)
- 5+ years indefense industry supply chain/procurement, with proven experience securing contracts fornon-weaponized protective equipment(e.g., body armor, helmets).
- Understanding ofCanadian government procurement processes(e.g., bids, RFPs, SOQs) and familiarity withDefense Production Act (DPA)priorities.
- Technical knowledge ofballistic standards(NIJ, STANAG) and materials science (aramid, UHMWPE).
Preferred:
- Prior service in theCanadian Armed Forces(e.g., Supply Technician, Logistics Officer) or equivalent NATO experience
- Certifications:CSCMP,PMAC, orPMP
- Experience withinternational suppliers(U.S., Southeast Asia) and familiarity with cross-border logistics (e.g., ITAR, customs compliance)
- Base Salary:110,000–110,000–140,000 CAD (commensurate with experience).
- Bonus: 15–25%+ of base (tied to contract wins and supply chain efficiency gains).
