Job description

Job Title: Partnerships & Business Development Manager

Location: Durham

Salary: £35,000 per annum

Hours: Monday – Friday with an early finish on a Friday!

Build relationships. Open doors. Create opportunities. Make an impact.

Are you a natural networker who enjoys building relationships, spotting opportunities and turning conversations into action?

Do you thrive in environments where you can meet senior stakeholders, develop partnerships, represent an organisation and have the freedom to make things happen?

If so, this could be an opportunity worth knowing about.

We’re working with a high profile, forward thinking organisation that is looking for an ambitious Stakeholder Engagement & Development Manager to play a key role in its continued growth and development.

This is far from a conventional stakeholder engagement role. You’ll be at the heart of the organisation’s external relationships – developing partnerships, identifying opportunities, engaging senior stakeholders and representing the organisation at high profile UK and international events.

You’ll work across business development, partnerships, stakeholder engagement, events, marketing, research and strategic projects, giving you genuine variety and significant responsibility. And importantly, no two days will look the same!

Your Duties as Partnerships & Business Development Manager will include:
  • Manage key stakeholder, business and industry relationships
  • Coordinate meetings and stakeholder activity
  • Develop and deliver growth and commercialisation plans
  • Identify new business opportunities
  • Lead research, supply chain and strategic development projects
  • Monitor market trends and identify emerging opportunities
  • Plan and coordinate events and campaigns
  • Manage marketing, communications, website and social media activity
  • Develop case studies, success stories and promotional content
  • Represent the organisation at industry events, meetings and conferences
  • Manage funding requirements, reporting and claims
  • Prepare and monitor budgets and manage third party suppliers
  • Support the long term commercial sustainability of the organisation
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and contribute to wider business planning
Experience Required
  • Business development, stakeholder engagement, events and/or marketing experience
  • Project management experience is desirable
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills
  • Commercial awareness and strong negotiation ability
  • Experience managing suppliers, budgets and multiple projects
  • Confident presenting and networking with senior stakeholders
  • CRM and Microsoft Office experience
  • Strategic thinker with a hands on, proactive approach
  • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle

In return, you’ll receive a salary of £35,000 per annum plus an excellent benefits package with significant autonomy, professional development opportunities, career progression and the chance to build a strong professional network. You’ll work with senior stakeholders, lead strategic projects and have the opportunity for UK wide and occasional international travel, while making a genuine impact within a growing organisation.
