Job summary

Theatre Alberta is seeking a Recurring Part-time House Manager for the University Theatre Services facilities at the University of Calgary. The role reports to the Admin and Front of House Manager and supervises part-time student staff during events.

Qualifications

• Experience as a house manager or strong knowledge of front of house procedures.
• Strong supervisory, communication and customer service skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.
• Fine arts background or knowledge of university community is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Ensure audience satisfaction and safety during events; respond quickly to issues.
• Coordinate front of house operations and staff duties with stage management.
• Train new front of house staff and supervise part-time student staff.
• Maintain box office, concession floats and deposits; update payroll records.
