Job summary

Oxford Learning West Vancouver is seeking enthusiastic, reliable part-time teachers and tutors to support elementary and high school students in a small-group setting. No teaching certification required; university students, recent graduates, and experienced tutors are encouraged to apply.

You will work with up to three students, with materials provided and no lesson planning. Shifts on weekdays after 3:30 PM and Saturdays are available, at 202-1760 Marine Drive, Vancouver.

• Must enjoy working with children and teens, patient and encouraging.
• Able to explain concepts in multiple ways.
• Reliable, punctual, and capable of a consistent weekly schedule.

Oxford Learning West Vancouver is looking for enthusiastic, reliable part-time teachers and tutors to join our team!

About The Role

Our teachers work with students in a small-group environment, typically supporting up to three students at a time. Each student follows an individualized Oxford Learning program based on their academic needs.

Depending on your strengths, you may work with students in:

• Reading and reading comprehension
• Writing and grammar
• Elementary math
• High school math
• Study skills and organization

You do not need to teach every subject or grade level. We match teachers with students based on their strengths and experience.

All programming and teaching materials are provided, so there is no lesson planning required.

Previous tutoring, teaching, coaching, mentoring, camp, childcare, or other experience working with youth is an asset, but formal classroom teaching experience is not required.

Schedule

We are currently looking for teachers who can consistently work at least 2 days per week.

Weekday shifts: approximately 3:30 PM - 6:30 PM

Saturday shifts: also available

We are particularly interested in candidates who can maintain consistent availability throughout the school year.
