Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Toronto seeks a part-time Swim Instructor at West End YMCA Health and Fitness Centre. This 12-month contract pays $23.50 per hour, with an attractive compensation package. Anticipated start: September 15, 2026.

Deadline to apply: September 4, 2026 at 5:00pm. You will teach lessons per the YMCA Swim Lesson curriculum, develop weekly plans, ensure safety, assess progress, communicate with parents, and collaborate with staff.

Qualifications

• Current NL Lifeguard certification.
• Standard First Aid & CPR C valid.
• YMCA Lifeguard/Swim Instructor certification current.

Responsibilities

• Deliver course content and examine participants using YMCA criteria.
• Develop weekly lesson plans and adapt to participant needs.
• Maintain a safe environment and monitor equipment for safety.
• Record attendance and progress, communicate with parents and staff.
• Participate in programs, meetings, and events as required.
