Dollar Tree Canada in Exeter, Ontario is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, help customers, organize merchandise, and oversee opening/closing procedures.

The role requires strong communication and leadership abilities, the capacity to lift up to 55 lbs, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Previous store management experience in retail, grocery, or drugstore environments.
• Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives and merchandise schematics.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are required.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform required physical duties.

Responsabilités

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional displays and store-front fixtures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, recording payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep store clean, restocked bathrooms, floors swept/mopped, trash removed and areas neat.
• Other duties as assigned.
