Job summary

FedEx Group in Canada is seeking a temporary part-time courier (up to 12 weeks) to provide courteous pick-up and delivery on an assigned route. You will ensure shipments conform to FedEx Canada features of service and perform related customer service tasks.

Responsibilities include safe, efficient delivery, accurate package inspection, proper labeling, and timely reporting. You may assist with loading/unloading and will operate tracking and dispatch systems, while answering customer questions

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
• Customer Service experience is preferred (1 year).

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous and efficient pick-up and delivery of packages on an assigned route, representing FedEx Group in a professional manner.
• Accomplish accurate and timely selection and inspection of packages and report stop counts and missorts.
• Adhere to courier best practices and operating procedures, secure packages and company assets.
• Seek additional business from current customers and inform sales of leads and market changes.
• Ensure proper labeling and that paperwork and shipping materials are provided and up to date.
• Operate computerized tracking and dispatch systems with correct information.
• Answer customer questions about FedEx Canada features and keep customers informed of Canada/US/International requirements.
• Demonstrate proficiency in service features and equipment.
• Operate vehicle safely and in compliance with regulations; assist with loading/unloading as needed.
