Job summary

FedEx Group in Canada is seeking personnel for an interview-based, part-time loading/unloading role. Duties include loading and unloading aircrafts and vehicles, sorting packages, and ensuring shipments conform to FedEx Canada service standards. Strong customer service and driving record required.

Position is part-time with varied shifts including Tuesday–Friday start times at 06:30 and Saturday at 15:00. Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and handle up to 150 lbs with equipment is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/educational equivalent.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a good driving record.
• One (1) year customer oriented business experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 70 lbs and to maneuver any package weighing up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment.
• Must achieve minimum threshold on mandatory pre-placement driver assessment training.
• Some knowledge of Federal Express Canada operations and Canadian Customs regulations an asset.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good time management and organizational skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to multitasking, handle stress and work in a highly pressured environment.
• Willing to be flexible and work different schedules and holidays based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload aircrafts and vehicles.
• Sort packages for delivery and pickup.
• Provide efficient delivery and pick-up of packages.
• Check shipments for conformance to Federal Express Canada features of service.
• Provide related customer service functions.
