Job summary

Urban Barn in Edmonton, AB is hiring a Part-time Sales Associate at our South Common store. You will welcome customers, help them select furniture and decor, and provide friendly service with product knowledge to create spaces they love.

Our stores are open 7 days a week, and you will work a varied schedule (weekdays, weeknights, weekends) with 12-20 hours per week. 2+ years in retail, comfort with POS and iPad, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs are desired.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of Retail Sales experience.
• Ease of using technology such as a Point-of-Sale system and iPad.
• Flexible schedule to work a minimum of 3 days (12-20 hours) per week – including at least 1 weekend and 1 weekday daytime shift.
• The ability to lift and move loads up to 50 lbs / 23 kg.

Accompany and guide customers to find inspiring furniture and home décor during their visit to our store. As a Sales Associate, you will represent Urban Barn by offering friendly service and product knowledge to help our customers create a space they love to call home. In collaborating with the store team and managers, you will provide our customers with the best shopping experience possible.

Our stores are open 7 days a week, so we’re looking for candidates who can work a variety of shifts (i.e. weekdays, weeknights and weekends).

What You Will Do:

• Guide customers in their décor choices, suggesting the best products for their needs
• Provide a warm greeting to every customer
• Establish connections with customers to build customer loyalty
• Carry out transactions (purchases, exchanges, and returns)
• Maintain the visual standards and cleanliness of the store

What you Bring:
