Job summary

Urban Barn in Moncton, New Brunswick is hiring a Sales Associate for our new store opening at the end of October 2026. You will accompany and guide customers to find inspiring furniture and home décor, offering friendly service and product knowledge to help create spaces they love.

We operate 7 days a week and seek candidates with retail experience, a flexible schedule (minimum 3 days, including at least one weekend shift) and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of Retail Sales experience.
• Comfort with POS systems and tablet devices.
• Flexible schedule to work a minimum of 3 days per week, including weekends.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Guide customers in their décor choices, suggesting the best products for their needs.
• Provide a warm greeting to every customer.

Accompany and guide customers to find inspiring furniture and home décor during their visit to our store. As a Sales Associate, you will represent Urban Barn by offering friendly service and product knowledge to help our customers create a space they love to call home. In collaborating with the store team and managers, you will provide our customers with the best shopping experience possible.

Our stores are open 7 days a week, so we’re looking for candidates who can work a variety of shifts (i.e. weekdays, weeknights and weekends).

What You Will Do:

• Guide customers in their décor choices, suggesting the best products for their needs
• Provide a warm greeting to every customer

What you Bring:

• At least 2 years of Retail Sales experience
• Ease of using technology such as a Point-of-Sale system and iPad
• Flexible schedule to work a minimum of 3 days (12-20 hours) per week - including at least 1 weekend and 1 weekday daytime shift
• The ability to lift and move loads up to 50 lbs / 23 kg
