Job summary

Urban Barn in Nanaimo, BC is seeking a Part-time Sales Associate to help customers find furniture and home décor that they love. You will guide shoppers through product choices, provide warm service, and assist with transactions while keeping the store inviting and well-presented.

The role requires a flexible schedule including weekdays, weeknights, and weekends, with 12–20 hours per week and at least one weekend day. You’ll join a team that values design, collaboration, and customer experience.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of Retail Sales experience.
• Experience using POS systems and iPad devices.
• Flexible schedule to work a minimum of 3 days (12-20 hours) per week, including at least 1 weekend day and 1 weekday daytime shift.
• Ability to lift and move loads up to 50 lbs / 23 kg.

Accompany and guide customers to find inspiring furniture and home décor during their visit to our store. As a Sales Assciate, you will represent Urban Barn by offering friendly service and product knowledge to help our customers create a space they love to call home. In collaborating with the store team and managers, you will provide our customers with the best shopping experience possible.

Our stores are open 7 days a week, so we’re looking for candidates who can work a variety of shifts (i.e. weekdays, weeknights and weekends).

What You Will Do:

• Guide customers in their décor choices, suggesting the best products for their needs
• Provide a warm greeting to every customer
