AgeCare is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to provide professional nursing care to residents in Ontario, under the required medical guidelines and nursing practice.

You will work with the care team, liaise with physicians, and supervise Personal Support Workers, ensuring timely care and accurate shift handovers.

Qualifications

• Geriatric, rehabilitation or long-term care nursing background.
• Knowledge of applicable Canadian health acts and nursing standards.
• Familiar with College of Nurses of Ontario Standards of Practice.
• Current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario and good standing.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with Registered Nurse to implement policies on the unit.
• Liaises with physicians and health care partners; notify physician of changes when RN absent.
• Works with the health care team to meet residents' care needs.
• Provides direction to Personal Support Workers on the care team.
• Participates in shift reports to inform the team of resident status changes.
