Job summary

The Beer Store in Thorold, Ontario is seeking energetic, part-time Retail Staff to support daily operations at our Thorold store.

You will stock shelves, assist customers, handle transactions, and uphold safety standards in a unionized environment. Evening and weekend shifts may be required; training and team support are provided.

Qualifications

• Completion of High School and/or GED equivalent preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Minimum 1 year of consecutive retail experience.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves, unload delivery trucks, and maintain store cleanliness.
• In this unionized role, you will be required to serve customers daily and process payment transactions.
• Follow all health and safety procedures and use PPE provided.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

The Role

We currently have vacancies for Part-Time Retail Staff for our Thorold, Ontario store. We are looking for employees who are energetic, enthusiastic and share our passion and commitment to satisfying our customers.

What You'll Be Doing

• Stocking shelves, unloading delivery trucks, maintaining store cleanliness
• In this unionized role, you will be required to serve customers daily and process payment transactions
• You are expected to follow all health and safety procedures and must use all PPE provided
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Who You Are - Your Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Education

• Completion of High School and/or GED equivalent preferred

Experience

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must have minimum 1 year's consecutive retail experience

Skills

• Must be able to comfortably lift up to 40lbs (over 18kg) for more then 100 ft (30 metres) for continuous periods of time
• Must be able to stand on your feet for 2 or more hours during a shift
• Able to perform basic computer functions
• Must be available to work weekends

Compensation

Wages starting at $17.95 and subject to wage increases based on hours worked according to the terms outlined in the Collective Agreement.
