Job summary

The Beer Store in New Hamburg, Ontario is seeking energetic Part-Time Retail Staff to help serve customers, stock shelves, and maintain store upkeep at 112 Burns St.

This unionized role requires the ability to lift up to 40 lbs, stand for extended periods, and willingness to work weekends; wage starts at 17.95 CAD per hour, with increases under the Collective Agreement.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Minimum 1 year's consecutive retail experience.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs (18 kg) for extended periods and stand for 2+ hours.
• Available to work weekends.

Responsibilities

• Stocking shelves, unloading delivery trucks, maintaining store cleanliness.
• In this unionized role, you will be required to serve customers daily and process payment transactions.
• Follow all health and safety procedures and must use all PPE provided.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

The Role

We currently have vacancies for Part-Time Retail Staff for our New Hamburg, Ontario store. We are looking for employees who are energetic, enthusiastic and share our passion and commitment to satisfying our customers.

A Retail Location at 112 Burns St., New Hamburg, ON.

What You'll Be Doing

• Stocking shelves, unloading delivery trucks, maintaining store cleanliness
• In this unionized role, you will be required to serve customers daily and process payment transactions
• You are expected to follow all health and safety procedures and must use all PPE provided
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Who You Are - Your Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Education

• Completion of High School and/or GED equivalent preferred

Experience

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must have minimum 1 year's consecutive retail experience

Skills

• Must be able to comfortably lift up to 40lbs (over 18kg) for more than 100 ft (30 metres) for continuous periods of time
• Must be able to stand on your feet for 2 or more hours during a shift
• Able to perform basic computer functions
• Must be available to work weekends

Compensation

Wages starting at $17.95 and subject to wage increases based on hours worked according to the terms outlined in the Collective Agreement.
