Job summary

The Beer Store in Thunder Bay, ON is seeking energetic part-time retail staff to stock shelves, unload deliveries, and serve customers in a unionized setting. You’ll follow health and safety rules and use PPE as required.

Applicants should be 18+, bring at least one year of retail experience, and be able to lift up to 40 lbs, stand for long periods, and work weekends. Wages start at $17.95 per hour and will increase under the Collective Agreement.

The Role

We currently have vacancies for Part-Time Retail Staff for all of our Thunder Bay, Ontario stores. We are looking for employees who are energetic, enthusiastic and share our passion and commitment to satisfying our customers.

Location

A Retail Location in Thunder Bay, ON.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Stocking shelves, unloading delivery trucks, maintaining store cleanliness
• In this unionized role, you will be required to serve customers daily and process payment transactions
• You are expected to follow all health and safety procedures and must use all PPE provided
• Perform other related duty as assigned

Who You Are - Your Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Education

• Completion of High School and/or GED equivalent preferred

Experience

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must have minimum 1 year's consecutive retail experience

Skills

• Must be able to comfortably lift up to 40lbs (over 18kg) for more than 100 ft (30 metres) for continuous periods of time
• Must be able to stand on your feet for 2 or more hours during a shift
• Able to perform basic computer functions
• Must be available to work weekends

Compensation

Wages starting at $17.95 and subject to wage increases based on hours worked according to the terms outlined in the Collective Agreement.
