Job summary

The Beer Store in Markham, Ontario is seeking energetic Part-Time Retail Staff to join our team. You will stock shelves, assist customers, process payments, and maintain store cleanliness in a unionized environment.

We value reliability, weekend availability, and the ability to perform basic computer functions. Minimum 1 year of retail experience and a high school diploma are preferred. Wages start at $17.95 per hour with increases per the collective agreement.

Qualifications

• Completion of High School and/or GED equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of retail experience.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves, unload deliveries, maintain store cleanliness.
• Serve customers daily and process payments.
• Follow health and safety procedures and use PPE.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

The Role

We currently have vacancies for Part-Time Retail Staff for our Markham, Ontario store. We are looking for employees who are energetic, enthusiastic and share our passion and commitment to satisfying our customers.

Location

A Retail Location in Markham, ON.

What You'll Be Doing

• Stocking shelves, unloading delivery trucks, maintaining store cleanliness
• In this unionized role, you will be required to serve customers daily and process payment transactions
• You are expected to follow all health and safety procedures and must use all PPE provided
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Who You Are - Your Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Education

• Completion of High School and/or GED equivalent preferred

Experience

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must have minimum 1 year's consecutive retail experience

Skills

• Must be able to comfortably lift up to 40lbs (over 18kg) for more then 100 ft (30 metres) for continuous periods of time
• Must be able to stand on your feet for 2 or more hours during a shift
• Able to perform basic computer functions
• Must be available to work weekends

Compensation

Wages starting at $17.95 and subject to wage increases based on hours worked according to the terms outlined in the Collective Agreement.
