Job summary

YMCA of Northeastern Ontario is seeking a Registered Early Childhood Educator for the South Shore location in Nipissing District. This part-time role requires an ECE diploma, College of ECE membership, and a love of play-based learning.

You will supervise children, plan engaging activities, maintain attendance records, and communicate with families. The position offers $28.10 per hour, with the Ministry of Education WEG uplift, 18–20 hours weekly, and hybrid work options where available.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and active membership with the College of ECE.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Minimum two years’ experience with children/youth.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children with focus on health, safety and well-being.
• Maintain attendance records and perform head counts.
• Plan and deliver play-based learning using YMCA curricula.
• Track development and communicate with families and partners.
• Follow CCEYA and health, safety guidelines.
