Job summary

YMCA of Greater Toronto is hiring an Early Childhood Educator for the Credit Meadows YMCA Child Care Centre in Orangeville, ON. This contract full-time position runs until January 2028 with a November 1, 2026 start date.

Rotating shifts (7:00am–6:00pm) and 7.5-hour days require dedication to a high-quality, child-centered program. You will deliver YMCA Playing to Learn for 0–6 year olds and Place to Connect for 6–12 year olds, while fostering growth, safety and family engagement in a supportive

Qualifications

• Minimum of six months’ experience working with children.
• Registered (or in process) with CECE in good standing.
• First Aid and CPR Level C certification or Intermediate CPR Level C.
• Immunizations up-to-date as required by Public Health.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality compassionate care and support to children and families.
• Build positive relationships with children and keep families informed of progress.
• Deliver a consistent child-centred program aligned with YMCA curricula.
• Ensure safety and supervision of children at all times.
• Observe and document children’s development and learning interactions.
