Upper Canada Child Care is hiring Registered Early Childhood Educators for a new full-time split-shift position in Woodbridge (Mackenzie Glen PS). The role supports before/after school programs with a developmentally appropriate, inquiry-based approach.

You will work morning and afternoon shifts, participate in professional development, and contribute to family communications while adhering to Ontario regulations and our program standards.

Competenze

• Diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education (or approved equivalency) from a recognized college or university.
• Police Vulnerable Sector Check.
• Minimum age of 18 years due to licensing.
• Health assessment and up-to-date immunization as per legislation.
• Registration with the College of ECEs (if applicable).
• CPR-C and Standard First Aid certification (training provided if required).
• Experience with inquiry/play-based program design and implementation.
• Proven communication skills with families, coworkers and professionals.
• Ability to supervise children in various settings, including outdoors.
• Proficient with computer systems, Dayforce and Storypark.

• Applies knowledge of child development to support programs aligned with Ontario requirements and Upper Canada Child Care’s guidelines.
• Adheres to Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice as applicable.
• Keeps supervisor informed of compliance issues and policy concerns.
• Engages with children and provides a positive learning experience including meals, toileting, dressing, etc.
• Completes program charts, logs and reports; supports documentation needs.
• Mentors and guides assistant educators, students and volunteers.
• Communicates with parents and participates in meetings; supports family engagement.
• Uses Storypark for pedagogical documentation to inform program development.
• Collaborates with team, school personnel and outside agencies to support children’s needs.
• Identifies children needing additional support and helps design/implement individual plans.
