Job summary

YMCA of Three Rivers is seeking a part-time Early Years Educator (RECE/EYE) to support school-age and younger children in Waterloo Region. The role emphasizes a child-centred, play-based approach under Playing to Learn and YMCA Place to Connect curricula.

Qualified candidates hold an ECE Diploma with CECE registration in good standing, or proof of in-process registration. The position requires flexibility, immunizations, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work 2:30pm–6:00pm and

Qualifications

• Requires Early Childhood Educator Diploma and CECE registration or in process.
• Current immunizations and first aid certification as required by policy.
• Experience with children and ability to work with families and communities.
• Must be 18+ and legally able to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement child-centred programs aligned with curriculum.
• Build positive relationships with children, families and staff.
• Ensure safety and supervision of children at all times.
• Document observations and progress of children's development.
• Support outdoor play, learning activities and daily routines.
