Job summary

BrightPath Kids in Toronto is seeking a part-time Registered Early Childhood Educator to join our caring team. You’ll work with teachers and families to provide a safe, home-like environment for children, implementing BrightPath’s curriculum and supporting developmental goals.

The role requires RECE with Ontario College of ECE membership, valid First Aid and infant CPR, and adherence to provincial childcare regulations.

Qualifications

• Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) with Ontario College of ECE in good standing
• Current Standard First Aid and infant CPR
• Must meet provincial requirements for childcare employment

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a program aligned with BrightPath's curriculum to support child development
• Maintain a safe, clean environment prioritizing children's well-being
• Assess abilities, interests, and needs; discuss progress with parents and staff
• Foster collaborative relationships with colleagues, management and families
• Attend staff meetings and professional development opportunities as needed
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials
• Perform other duties as assigned

What will you be doing? As a Registered Early Childhood Educator, you will work side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care. Responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing a program in line with BrightPath’s curriculum that supports the development of children.
• Maintaining an environment that protects the well-being of children.
• Assessing the abilities, interests, and needs of children and discuss progress with parents and other staff.
• Establishing collaborative relationships with co-workers, management, and families.
• Attending staff meetings and professional development opportunities as necessary.
• Working to maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
• Other duties as assigned.
