AgeCare Walden Heights is seeking a part-time Recreation Therapy Aide to support resident engagement and well-being in a caring environment. You will maintain accurate records, assist in program evaluation, manage supplies, and participate in a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Travel within the province may be required for education and meetings. Applicants should have a diploma/degree in Recreation and Leisure Studies or related field, be enrolled in a related program, and

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Recreation and Leisure Studies or related field.
• Currently enrolled in a related program with expected completion within three years.
• Knowledge/experience delivering recreation services in healthcare is an asset.
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic care environment.
• Must provide Vulnerable Sector Check and Criminal Record Check within six months, or be willing to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and timely departmental records and complete required documentation.
• Participate in program evaluation and quality improvement initiatives.
• Ensure recreation supplies/equipment are maintained and report deficiencies.
• Work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Travel within the province for education, training, and meetings as required.
