Job summary

AgeCare Ltd. is seeking a Recreation Therapy Aide to support residents in a healthcare setting in Alberta. You will assist in delivering planned and spontaneous recreational activities to promote engagement, independence, and well-being.

Responsibilities include accurate documentation, program evaluation, and maintaining supplies per infection control standards. Shifts include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays; travel within the province may be required.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary certificate/diploma/degree in Recreation and Leisure or related field.
  • Current enrollment in related program with expected completion within three years.
  • Experience delivering recreation in healthcare or long-term care is asset.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Able to obtain Vulnerable Sector Check/Criminal Record Check.

**The Opportunity** The Recreation Therapy Aide (RTA) supports the delivery of both planned and spontaneous recreational opportunities that promote residents’ engagement, independence, and overall well-being.
