Job summary

Harmonie Pharmacy- Brandon is seeking a part-time pharmacist to provide safe medication therapy, counsel patients, and collaborate with the pharmacy team to deliver patient-centred care in Brandon, Manitoba. You will review prescriptions, check for interactions, communicate with physicians, support workflow, and uphold Manitoba regulations.

Eligible candidates hold a BScPharm or PharmD, are registered or eligible with CPhM, and bring strong communication and detail orientation.

Qualifications

• BScPharm or PharmD from an accredited Canadian program.
• Current registration or eligibility with the College of Pharmacists of Manitoba (CPhM).
• Knowledge of Canadian pharmacy practice and provincial legislation.
• Experience in community pharmacy is an asset.
• Proficiency in Kroll.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and patient-care skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a new part-time pharmacist at Harmonie Pharmacy- Brandon who can provide safe and effective medication therapy, support patients with their healthcare needs and work collaboratively with our pharmacy team to deliver the best patient-centred care that we highly value

Key responsibilities:

• Review and accurately dispense prescription medications in accordance with applicable legislation and professional standards.
• Provide medication counselling and answer patients' questions regarding medications, health conditions, and appropriate medication use.
• Assess prescriptions for appropriateness, including potential drug interactions, allergies, contraindications, and therapeutic concerns.
• Communicate with physicians and other health-care professionals regarding medication-related issues and patient care.
• Assist patients with minor ailments and self-care recommendations within the pharmacist's scope of practice.
• Support prescription workflow, inventory management, and other day-to-day pharmacy operations.
• Ensure compliance with Manitoba pharmacy legislation, regulatory requirements, and professional standards.
• Work collaboratively with pharmacy assistants and other team members to ensure efficient pharmacy operations.
• Build strong relationships with patients and provide a high level of personalized customer service.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BScPharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited Canadian pharmacy program, or an equivalent recognized qualification.
• Current registration, or eligibility for registration, as a pharmacist with the College of Pharmacists of Manitoba (CPhM).
• Good knowledge of Canadian pharmacy practice, medication safety, and applicable provincial legislation.
• Experience in community pharmacy is an asset.
• Proficiency in Kroll.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and patient-care skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
