Job summary

Oxford Learning Montreal DDO is seeking a part‑time math tutor to support after‑school sessions in Dollard-des-Ormeaux. You will work in‑person with up to three students, guiding them through senior math concepts and reinforcing understanding of algebra, trig, and calculus.

The ideal candidate holds a CÉGEP or bachelor’s degree with strong English communication skills and a commitment through June, with potential for summer continuation. Must reside near DDO.

Qualifications

• CEGEP or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; teaching certification is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of Grades 7–11 math curriculum, especially senior math (functions, algebra, trig, calculus, vectors).
• Experience teaching/tutoring math at a Grade 7–11 level.
• Strong English written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and work with up to three students at a time.

Responsibilities

• Teach up to three students at a time across different levels.
• Follow Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies.
• Fill in post-lesson notes and complete daily student communication updates.
• Maintain a friendly and professional manner at all times.
• Act as an Interactive Coach, guiding students’ understanding and confidence.

Are you a superstar teacher‑tutor eager to help students succeed in math? Join our learning centre in Dollard‑des‑Ormeaux and gain valuable teaching experience.

Location & Requirements

• Location: Dollard‑des‑Ormeaux, Quebec (Applicants must reside in or within a short commute of the DDO area)
• Employment type: Part‑time (after‑school 4:00 pm–8:00 pm, Saturdays 9:00 am–1:00 pm)
• In‑person role (please be able to commute; no online option or relocation packages)
• Vulnerable sector screening mandatory
• Commitment until the end of the term in June (continuing through summer is preferred)

Education & Experience

• CEGEP or Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field (teaching certification an asset)
• Good knowledge of the current Grades 7 to 11 math curriculum, especially senior math (advanced functions, algebra, trigonometry, calculus, vectors)
• Experience teaching/tutoring math at a Grade 7–11 level
• Strong English written and oral communication skills
