Job summary

Oxford Learning Saint-Laurent is seeking part-time teacher-tutors for after-school sessions in Montréal. You will teach up to three students at varying levels, online and in-person, following the centre's established methodologies.

You will also complete post-lesson notes and daily student updates, maintaining a friendly, professional attitude. The role requires flexibility to work 4:00 pm–7:00 pm weekdays and Saturdays 9:00 am–1:00 pm, with a strong commitment through the school year and

• Postsecondary students with tutoring experience will be considered.
• Teaching certification is an asset.

Our hours count! Gain valuable teaching experience! Oxford Learning VSL is currently seeking part-time teacher-tutors for a role in our learning centre. This position is perfect for anyone who loves working with students, enjoys numbers and equations, and is passionate about helping others build their skills in these areas.

Teacher-tutors at Oxford Learning do not need to plan lessons before class, as all lessons are pre-planned. Applicants will be fully trained in our proprietary philosophy and methods.

All Teacher-tutors at Oxford Learning work after school and in the evenings (4:00 pm - 7:00 pm), as well as on Saturdays (9:00am - 1:00pm). We prefer a commitment through the end of the school year. Continuing through the summer is even better. Your students will love working with you, and being reliable is a must.

This role is in-person. You must be able to commute to this location. This is not an online position. Relocation packages are not available. Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.

Education

• Postsecondary students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered

Experience

• Some experience teaching/tutoring English, French, math and science at a Kindergarten to Grade 11 (or equivalent) level
• Strong English and French written and oral communication skills

• Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time
