Job summary

LCDS is hiring a part-time Maintenance Worker to support several Lambton County locations in Ontario. The role involves routine building maintenance, minor repairs in HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems, completing preventative maintenance, and general upkeep to keep facilities safe and functional for staff and clients.

Responsibilities include maintaining inventory, recording work orders, inspections, and seasonal grounds care.

Qualifications

  • Previous maintenance experience in a commercial or residential setting is considered an asset
  • Knowledge of basic maintenance equipment, tools
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks with minimal supervision
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel between work sites
  • Ability to maintain accurate maintenance logs and complete work orders
  • Ability to use smartphones, tablets, or computer-based maintenance management systems
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50lbs
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings or weekends if required

What we are hiring for:

We are currently hiring a part‑time Maintenance Worker for our locations across Lambton County, Ontario. The successful candidate will support LCDS by:

  • Performing routine building maintenance and minor repairs related to HVAC, plumbing and electrical

Compensation and scheduling:
  • $25.19 per hour
  • Part-time 24 hours per week including days, afternoons, evenings and weekends as needed
