Part Time Leasing London, ON, CA

Killam Apartment REIT, based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, is one of Canada's largest residential real estate investment trusts, owning, operating, and developing a $5.5 billion portfolio of apartments and manufactured home communities. Killam's strategy to drive value and profitability focuses on three priorities: (1) increase earnings from the existing portfolio; (2) expand the portfolio and diversify geographically through accretive acquisitions, targeting newer properties and dispositions of non-core assets; and (3) develop high-quality properties in its core markets.

We are looking for an energetic and results oriented Leasing Representative to join our team in the London area on a part-time basis. This role is 20 hours per week. This position would be ideal for someone with strong customer service experience. We offer a competitive salary plus commission structure ($24,000 annually plus leasing commissions) and training and support to help you launch your career with Killam.

Responsibilities

• Field all leasing communication by phone, email and in person;
• Perform showings of suites and tours of properties;
• Follow up with prospective tenants after showing to close the sale;
• Assist with administrative duties;
• Process applications and lease signings;
• Perform bi-weekly market surveys;
• Utilize Yardi Customer Relationship Software in day-to-day leasing functions;
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role, or experience in the property management and/or real estate industry;
• 1-2 years’ experience in sales, marketing and/or customer service;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel;
• Previous experience posting ads on Kijiji, and familiarity with Yardi is considered an asset;
• Must be flexible and able to work evenings/weekends; and,
• Must be willing to travel between properties for showings. Mileage is compensated on a per KM rate.
