This 232-unit apartment community is located in North Charleston. We are seeking experienced professional leasing candidates with skills in apartment leasing & marketing, resident retention, and relationship building. This is a Part-Time position with flexible hours.

Summary

The Leasing Consultant conducts tours, manages the leasing process with prospective residents, and implements marketing strategies for the property. Responsibilities also include planning and hosting resident events and maintaining positive resident relations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Interview prospective residents and collect information to determine needs and qualifications.
  2. Accompany prospects to model or vacant apartments, discussing size, layout, amenities, and lease terms.
  3. Maintain consistent follow-up with prospects.
  4. Process applications for approval in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  5. Handle lease renewals as needed.
  6. Schedule move-ins and complete all related paperwork with prospects.
  7. Inspect units prior to move-in to ensure readiness.
  8. Follow up with new residents after move-in.
  9. Periodically inspect property condition and coordinate maintenance as necessary.
  10. Plan and coordinate resident events.
  11. Handle resident requests and complaints courteously and efficiently.
  12. Assist with marketing tasks, including market surveys and promotional activities.
  13. Distribute resident notices as required.
  14. Adhere to all company policies, including safety and Fair Housing regulations.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
  1. Prior leasing experience preferred.
  2. Up to one year of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  3. Experience with virtual and in-person community tours preferred.
  4. Familiarity with property management platforms (e.g., Yardi, Entrata, Yieldstar, CRM) preferred.
  5. Marketing skills, including social media and resident event planning, are preferred.
  6. Excellent verbal and written communication, relationship-building, and customer service skills.
  7. A valid driver’s license and auto insurance may be required depending on the property.
Environmental and Physical Demands

The following are typical physical and environmental requirements for this role, with accommodations available for individuals with disabilities:

  1. Constant walking, standing, and sitting; frequent stair climbing; occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, crawling, squatting, pushing/pulling, and reaching.
  2. Occasional lifting of over 10 lbs; frequent lifting of less than 10 lbs.
  3. Dexterity for grasping and turning objects.
  4. Good sensory skills, including eyesight and hearing; ability to communicate effectively.
  5. Work may be performed indoors and outdoors, with moderate noise levels.
  6. Potential exposure to chemicals, fumes, and other environmental hazards.
