Thermea Spa Village Whitby is hiring a Part-time Guest Experience Associate to welcome guests, guide them through the thermal cycle, and assist with services and payments. You will help maintain the reception area, assist with guest needs, and support multiple departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required or asset.
• One year of customer service experience is an asset.
• Basic knowledge of Windows-based software is an asset.
• SpaBooker system knowledge is an asset.
• WHMIS certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and check-in guests.
• Respond to inquiries regarding services and facilities.
• Process various payment methods.
• Maintain adequate par stock of supplies and accessories.
• Maintain cleanliness of reception area, lobby, and common areas.
• Assist guests to ensure the guest experience is impeccable.
• Participate in service recovery where necessary.
• Identify and understand guests' needs and strive to meet them.
• Maintain guest experience throughout the sauna village and spa standards.
• Work weekly site artisan shifts outdoors in all weather to enforce sauna etiquette and village rules.
• Collaborate with other departments for a seamless guest experience.
• Perform other related duties.

What we need

Reporting to the Manager, Guest Experience, the Guest Experience Associate welcomes, assists and advises guests on the thermal cycle, its benefits, and all available services and experiences while contributing to exceptional guest experiences. The Guest Experience Associate is also responsible for ensuring the up keeping of the premises, in accordance with organizational standards.

What you’ll do

• Welcome and check-in guests;
• Respond to inquiries regarding services and facilities;
• Process various payment methods;
• Maintain adequate par stock of supplies and accessories;
• Maintain cleanliness of the reception area, lobby, entrance hall, pavilions, , common areas and locker rooms;
• Assist guests ensuring the guest experience is impeccable, according to the standards dictated by the brand;
• Participate in service recovery where necessary
• Seek to identify and understand guests needs and strive to satisfy meet or exceed them;
• Maintain guest experience throughout the sauna village, ensuring spa standards are being met;
• Weekly site artisan shifts which involves being outside for the duration of your shift, in any weather, to enforce sauna etiquette and spa village rules;
• Work alongside other departments to ensure a seamless overall guest experience;
• Performs other related duties.

Profile needed

What is the profile needed in order to be successful in this position

• High School Diploma;
• One (1) year experience in customer service, an asset;
• Basic knowledge of Windows based software, an asset;
• Knowledge of the SpaBooker system, an asset;
• WHMIS Certification; an asset;
• Ability to communicate clearly with guests, managers and other associates;
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with a calm demeanor;
• Good physical condition; ability to work outdoor during all months of the year (weather appropriate uniform provided);
• Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time, ability to lift up to 30lbs (13.5kg).

When

You will work a varying schedule which requires flexibility to work weekends, holiday, full time position.

Compensation

Hourly rate $22.75
