Job summary

Sobeys in Alberta is seeking friendly cashiers to provide customers with efficient, professional service and accurate transaction processing. You will help create a positive, engaging environment and deliver an exceptional shopping experience.

In this role you’ll maintain a cash drawer, follow company policies, operate the Customer Service Desk, assist in training junior staff, and support other departments as needed to uphold standards across the front end.

Qualifications

• Basic numeracy skills required.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service processing transactions to meet customer needs
• Maintain an accurate cash drawer following company policies and procedures
• Operate Customer Service Desk following all procedures for lottery sales, refunds, bottle returns and inquiries
• Maintain Front End Department merchandise
• Participate in the training of junior staff
• Adhere to, and implement all applicable company standards
• Support additional departments and functions with other duties as required
