Job summary

Sobeys in Edmonton is seeking friendly Cashiers to provide customers with accurate, efficient service at the front end. You will process transactions, help customers with inquiries, and keep the checkout area neat and organized.

The role involves handling cash and card payments, following store policies, assisting with lottery sales and bottle returns, and supporting junior staff as needed. A positive attitude and the ability to stay calm in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service processing transactions to meet customer needs
• Maintain an accurate cash drawer following company policies and procedures
• Operate Customer Service Desk following all procedures for lottery sales, refunds, bottle returns and inquiries
• Maintain Front End Department merchandise
• Participate in the training of junior staff
• Adhere to, and implement all applicable company standards
• Support additional departments and functions with other duties as required
