Job summary

Sobeys is seeking a friendly cashier to provide customers with efficient service at the front end. You will handle transactions accurately, maintain cash drawers, and support store operations while adhering to company standards.

The role involves assisting with lottery, refunds, bottle returns, and inquiries, as well as helping train junior staff and ensuring merchandise is well presented. This position is based in a Sobeys store location.

Qualifications

• Basic numeracy skills required.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service processing transactions to meet customer needs
• Maintain an accurate cash drawer following company policies and procedures
• Operate Customer Service Desk following all procedures for lottery sales, refunds, bottle returns and inquiries
• Maintain Front End Department merchandise
• Participate in the training of junior staff
• Adhere to, and implement all applicable company standards
• Support additional departments and functions with other duties as required
