Job Summary

The Part-Time Food Service Supervisor oversees daily operations of campus dining facilities during assigned shifts. This role ensures food quality, safety, and customer satisfaction while supervising staff and maintaining a clean, efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise food service staff during meal preparation and service.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and dining areas.
  • Assist with food preparation and serving during peak hours.
  • Train new staff and student workers on procedures and safety protocols.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints professionally.
  • Support catering and special campus events as needed.
  • Operate point-of-sale systems and manage cash handling procedures.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in hospitality or culinary arts preferred.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in food service, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Valid Food Handler’s Certificate or equivalent.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
