Job summary

Specsavers in North York is seeking a Part Time Retail Associate (Eyecare Consultant) to welcome customers, guide them through our frame collections, and support first-time contact lens wearers. No optical experience is required as full training is provided.

You’ll work up to 24 hours a week, including evenings and weekends, with compensation of $19.50 per hour plus vacation, birthday and volunteer leave, eyewear benefits, and employee discounts. We value teamwork and helping people see better.

Qualifications

• Availability to work evenings and weekends is required.
• Strong customer service and eyewear shopping experience is encouraged.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada; immigration support not provided.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers warmly and create a friendly store environment.
• Guide customers in selecting frames and lenses.
• Explain offers and services clearly to inform choices.
• Perform pre-screening tests (full training provided).
• Measure and adjust frames for fit.
• Process orders for glasses and contact lenses accurately.
• Schedule follow-up appointments to maintain care.
• Be an ambassador for Specsavers and uphold company values.
