St. Michael's Health Group in Edmonton is recruiting an Independent Living Assistant to join our team at Millennium Pavilion Seniors’ Lodge. This part-time role supports residents with daily living, housekeeping, dining, and personal care while maintaining a safe, home-like environment.

The ideal candidate is a Health Care Aide graduate with CLHA registration, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and a commitment to dignity and respectful care for seniors.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of a recognized Health Care Aide program.
• Active registration in the CLHA.
• Experience in housekeeping or meal service is an asset.
• Prior caregiver experience is an asset.
• Friendly, interpersonal and communication skills are preferred.
• Physically and mentally fit for the duties and responsibilities.
• Willing to work with seniors and uphold the organization's values.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with daily living tasks and housekeeping as assigned.
• Participates in setting up dining room and assists in kitchen duties as required.
• Maintains a safe, clean environment and follows infection control protocols.
• Provides and receives shift reports and communicates changes in residents' condition.
• Promotes confidentiality and good public relations within the facility.
